Glamping is a perfect blend of outdoor adventure and comfort. Our Devon glamping yurts are amazing places to stay let you feel the breeze, hear the sounds and see the beauty of nature, without having to carry everything with you. We supply nearly everything you need for glamping. It’s a restorative, exciting and inspiring way to holiday.
Our two yurts are set apart by around ten meters in their own meadow at the quiet end of our grounds. The meadow is surrounded by tall trees and hedgrows. We're set in deepest darkest Devon with the second darkest skies in the U.K. There's nothing quite like waking up in a yurt. We still love it and we live here! The yurt is warm from the wood burning stove burning all night but fresh not like the condensation in a tent!
What is glamping? Glamping, also known as glamorous camping or luxury camping , is the escape you've always been meaning to take. It's that little break from the hustle and bustle. It's a the secluded time with those you love somewhere special without any of the hassle of camping. Glamping is about being able to experience nature without having to pack all your camping gear. At Puddleduck Valley we have two yurts with great beds and all the creature comforts, so you're surrounded by nature and don't have to try and fit everything in the car for your devon holiday!
A traditional yurt or ger is a portable, round tent covered with skins or felt and used as a dwelling by several distinct nomadic groups in the steppes of Central Asia. ... The roof structure is often self-supporting, but large yurts may have interior posts supporting the crown. Ours are Monglian yurts, made in Ulan Bator (Mongolia). They're handpainted and superbly comfy fitted out with proper beds, carpet and wood burning stoves.
